On March 26, 2016, WACS participants and their children gathered together to celebrate Easter at The Legacy of Anderson. Each year, Christy Tripp, Marketing Director at The Legacy, organizes the hunt, providing an opportunity for inter-generational fun.
The WACS kids are provided with Easter baskets with items donated from the community and assembled by volunteers.
“The children love it, and it’s a great opportunity for the moms and children to celebrate Easter with their friends. The ladies and their children build strong bonds when they are involved with WACS, and they enjoy coming together. The Legacy is so gracious to host this and show the girls and their children support. More often than not, the girls who enter the WACS program do not have a lot of support, so building relationships within the program and in the community mean so much to them,” said Marla Cobb, WACS Program Manager.
