Friday, May 6, brought lots of celebration and love to the WACS Cottage on the AIM Campus. The WACS program is well known for rejoicing at milestones, and graduation from both college and the program are two of the biggest milestones a participant can achieve.
Several of the participants and their mentors dropped in for snacks and camaraderie. They shared stories of how far they’d come since beginning the program. Paris Mgbo and her mentor, Laneika Musalini, attended the party. Laneika said of Paris, “Words cannot explain how proud I am of Paris. It makes my heart melt because I see the potential and motivation. We have to keep feeding that encouragement. She IS going to do great things in this lifetime. My girl!”
Alexis Bryant, a 2015 TriCounty Technical College graduate and WACS Program graduate, stated, “This program is changing life’s, and I am so proud to be a part of it, and to call myself a WACS girl.”
Congratulations, girls! We are SO proud of you!
