WACS participant Yaniqua Thomas, majoring in Business Leadership at Anderson University, is enjoying the challenge of her new job. She is with SC State University’s EFNEP program – Expansion Food and Nutritional Education Program. Yaniqua teaches about food and nutrition, healthy choices, preventing diseases, safe food handling, cooking skills, meal planning and much more. Pregnant women and families with children qualifying for WIC, SNAP or USDA government subsidies qualify for free classes. Others include families receiving free or reduced lunches at school.
